Activities & Events

Workshops & Fundraising Events

There are range of workshops and fundraising events at the garden throughout the spring, summer and autumn. We have had a huge range of workshops from yoga to composting, clowning to planting for wildlife. We also hold fundraising BBQs, musical evenings, summer teas and family fundays.

Children & Families

Families are welcome at the garden. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. There is a great 'beach' sandpit and a growing number of other interactive features to interest children such as improvised musical instruments, marble runs and water ways made from recycled materials. There are frequent family workshops developed in partnership with Oxfordshire County Council Children's Centres and the Without Walls programme. To find out more contact Stuart Turner: here

Swap Shops

Swap shops are like table top sales, but with no money involved! Bring your unwanted clothes, books, toys, CDs, DVDs, household goods and pick up something you really do want or need. No electrical items please. You don't have to bring something to swap. You can leave stuff without taking anything if you want. More info available on the CAG website: here

Seed & Plant Exchanges

We regularly hold seed and plant exchanges for gardeners to bring any surplus they have and exchange it for seeds or plants they would like for their gardens, window boxes or allotments. We are also growing heritage seeds with support from the Henry Doubleday Association: here
