Activities & Events
Workshops & Events
The garden hosts many regular events and workshops including annual seed and plant swaps, a harvest festival and a bonfire night celebration. Visit our events pages for information on upcoming events.
Between 2010 and 2012 the garden has received funding from the Big Lottery Fund’s Local Food programme, which has enabled the garden to begin a 3-year project celebrating local food with free events and workshops for our project ‘Eat what you sow’.
Children & Families
The garden welcomes families and carers with children to the garden. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. There is a great 'beach' sandpit and a growing number of other interactive features to interest children such as a bug hotel and wildlife pond. There are family workshops such as the Family Nature Clubs, and there are children’s play groups running during the week.
See the garden’s Safeguarding Policy which outlines responsibility for the care of children or adults within the garden.
