Sun 19th Feb 2012: Film screening & fundraiser - Animate Earth

4pm. Animate Earth written & presented by Stephan Harding, resident ecologist at Schumacher college, Devon. Stephan puts forward a radical approach to the ecological crisis by arguing that many of the problems we now face stem from having lost our intuitive relationship with nature. Animate Earth explores opportunities to heal our relationship with the Earth through the new discipline of holistic science.

The Film has unique footage and clear explanations from Stephan Harding, renowned ecologist and course leader of the MA in holistic science and Schumacher College, interviews with leading environmentalists, scientists and spiritual leaders, (Fritjof Capra, Brian Goodwin, Satish Kumar, Vandana Shiva and many more) concise and easily understandable explanation of Gaia theory how the divergeant paths of scientific and spiritual understanding can be brought together through new methods of observation and human relationships with the planet

If you haven't visited the garden before, come early and look around. After the film there will be an opportunity for refreshments and discussion.

Tickets £7/£5. Limited seating so early booking recommended. Email barrackslanegarden@yahoo.co.uk or tel 01865 236 088 to book your place.
