The garden has been awarded funding from for our project ‘Eat what you sow’, celebrating food with workshops and events. See the events page for information on upcoming Local Food events.
Local Food is a £50 million programme that will distribute lottery grants to a variety of food-related projects to help make locally grown food accessible and affordable to local communities.
Local Food is part of the Big Lottery Fund’s Changing Spaces programme which was launched in November 2005 to help communities enjoy and improve their local environments. The programme funds a range of activities from local food schemes and farmers markets, to education projects teaching people about the local environment. For further information please go to the
