Projects & Workshops

The Trustees are keen to hear from groups and individuals who would like to use the garden or develop their own project on site. For example a group might want to take on managing one of the beds and growing their own produce or to develop an arts or education programme on site. Please email us with your ideas: here

Managing the Garden Project

The management group currently has 8 trustees in post. They are all members of the local community and are voted on to the board annually at the AGM usually in November. The garden is a registered charity and incorporated company which works within a constitutional framework. The trustees welcome help with a range of jobs, such as promoting the garden, outreach and development. Find out more! Projects & Future Plans

• We have been working with architect students from Oxford Brookes University to develop a new shelter with solar power and green growing roof. Funding permitting this will be developed in summer 2009.
• We are applying the Big Lottery Local Food Programme to develop our education and demonstration of different ways to grow food, from seed to harvest feast. If we are successful this programme will start in 2010.
• We would like to develop our garden to include more water features and solar technology. We also have plans to develop outdoor cooking facilities to include a Tandoor.
